Who are some of your favorite poets?
I am very eclectic and would say I have favorite poems more than favorite poets, but I am drawn to spiritual poetry above all, with love poems a close second.
What are your hobbies or outside interests?
I enjoy studying fashion history and going to vintage shows, and I love vintage jewelry.
How do you choose names for your characters?
It’s a very intuitive process and it can happen in one of several ways.
When did you begin writing stories and poems?
I began writing stories as soon as I could write.
You mention that you use a fountain pen to write in your poetry journal. Do you use a keyboard for other work, such as long books?
No. I do all my work with a fountain pen.
When and where do you work? How many hours a day?
I try to spend as many hours a day at my desk and drawing board as possible; it is where I am most centered in my deepest self.
I Didn’t Know I was a Writer
When I was in my late 20’s, I was teaching English and Spanish in a private religious high school.
Where did you get the idea for Mindel and The Misfit Dragons and how long did it take you to write?
When my oldest granddaughter was 10 years old, she asked me to write a book for children.
Why Fountain Pens?
My life-long love affair with fountain pens began in my father’s law office in downtown Brooklyn.

Everywhere and anywhere.
